Terms of Use
Effective 14 October 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Doğukan Tuna, the operator of Hopper (“we”), for the Hopper desktop app, the Hopper account and sync service and the Hopper Pro subscription. By creating an account or using Hopper you accept them. For copies downloaded from the Mac App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two conflict, Apple’s terms govern the purchase and licence.
1. The licence
Hopper is licensed, not sold. You may install and use it on devices you own or control, for your own use. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute it, or use it to build a competing service. Hopper is proprietary software and all rights not granted here are reserved.
2. Your account
Hopper needs a Hopper account, created by signing in with Google. Keep your Google account secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. A device you no longer control can be signed out from Settings → Account. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service (for example, automated sign-in attempts or attempts to defeat the subscription checks).
3. Free trial and Hopper Pro
- Free trial. Every new account gets seven days of full use, starting at the first sign-in. The trial is granted once per account and does not restart.
- Subscription. After the trial, continued use requires Hopper Pro, an auto-renewable monthly subscription at $7.99 per month (launch price; the regular price is $9.99 per month, and the price shown in the App Store at the time of purchase applies). Local prices may differ by country and include applicable taxes.
- Billing. On the Mac App Store, payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple ID account settings (App Store → your account → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Hopper Pro until the end of the paid period. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds. Purchases made through the App Store are refunded by Apple under Apple’s policies; we cannot issue App Store refunds ourselves.
- What Pro includes. Unlimited canvases, cards, files, links, voices, videos and workspaces; Hopper Decision Controller and native Jev integration; product support and early access to beta features; the space-wide agent (beta); optional sync across devices. Beta features may change or be withdrawn.
- One subscription, one account. A subscription is linked to the Hopper account that bought it and cannot be transferred to another account.
4. Your content
Everything you create in Hopper is yours. It lives on your computer and, with sync on, a copy is kept in a private storage area that belongs to your account, so your other devices can load it. We claim no rights to it and access the copy only to provide the service or when you ask for help. You are responsible for what you put on your canvases, including pages you load from other websites and files you import, and for keeping your own backups. Hopper makes a daily backup beside your library to help, and can export everything as a .zip.
5. Sync across devices
- Sync is part of Hopper Pro and of the free week. It is on by default while the account is active and can be turned off in Settings → Account. When the subscription ends, sync pauses; the copy stays while the account exists.
- The synced library may hold up to 20 GB per account. We may change the limit or the storage provider with notice, keeping the copy in the European Union.
- When two devices change the same card while apart, the later change wins and the other version is kept in the Trash. Keep your own backups for anything you cannot lose.
- Deleting your account deletes the copy. The library on your computer is never touched by the service.
6. Availability and changes
An outage may interrupt sign-in, sync and subscription checks. Previously verified access works offline for up to 48 hours after the last successful check, but never beyond the end of your trial or paid period. Your local files remain on your computer. We may update Hopper, add or remove features, and change these terms; the date at the top changes when we do, and continued use after a change means you accept it. If a change to Hopper Pro affects price or scope, Apple will ask you to agree before the next renewal.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use Hopper to break the law, to infringe others’ rights, to attack the account service, or to circumvent the trial or subscription. Agent features must not be used to generate or distribute content that is illegal or harmful.
8. Disclaimer and liability
Hopper is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for loss of data, lost profits or other indirect damages arising from the use of Hopper. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Hopper Pro in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.
9. Termination
You can stop using Hopper and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. We may end the agreement if you breach these terms. Sections 4, 8 and 10 survive termination.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live. Questions and notices: dtunabuilds@gmail.com.
